Production Management

Well, yesterday I officially started my full time job as a Production Assistant as Passion Pictures.

I'm learning how productions work in the real world and how they achieve such high levels of quality (hint, it involves a lot of money).

Anyhow, I snapped the picture below when I was production managing for Passion as part of my internship. You get an idea of their phenomenal resources.

Working 3 jobs at once damn near killed me, but it looks like the effort is beginning to pay off. Now it's back to just full-time work at Passion and 'waitering' on the weekends. I was thinking of keeping the weekend work, but a good friend came up to me recently and laid some logic on me that I can't deny. I'm paraphrasing, but it went something along the lines of, "Dave, you work too hard and you're going to do worse and worse in both jobs. It'll affect your whole life, and you need time to not think. I know that me saying this doesn't mean shit, but I wanna just tell you".

I've gotta say, it was the kind of enlightened advice that only a man as drunk as himself could have come up with.
