Its been fun getting back to the drawing board. I look back at the first panel I drew and I can already see areas that I could depict much better now. Getting the expression right for panel 3 was difficult, but damn it forced me to improve my technique. I also picked up on subtle things, like light reflection (there's a bit of green on the bottom of his pants in frame 3, which is light reflecting from the grass). And the simple fact that there shouldn't really be any hard black lines for outlining. It's all light and shadow. I did this more-so for the face and neck in frame 3, but kept the hard black lines in other areas so that I didn't deviate too far from the running art style.
